Poem: Without You (Song)

Without You (Song)

I'm searching for your warm embrace.
There's nothing that can replace
your welcomed touch
I miss you much
Come to me, not only in dreams
the night is long with it's screams
without you.

In winter's bleak colourless day
the sky and ground dressed forlorn in gray
the lines of trees look sad this way
without you.

I search through shelves of books
Just to see one longing look
my mind's a mess
I must confess
My thoughts romance of you and I
It's hopeless I must decry
without you.

In winter's bleak colourless day
the sky and ground dressed forlorn in gray
the lines of trees look sad this way
without you.

The days are lonely and cold
with voids of love untold
your smiling face of golden rays
I must rephrase, I must rephrase
I'm lonely here
without you.

In winter's bleak colourless day
the sky and ground dressed forlorn in gray
the lines of trees look sad this way
without you.

In summer days you dance away
in the sky a mile high
and warm me with your yellow face
that no one else could replace
come to me

  4. It's funny how when we are in one season we often dream of the next. A reminder perhaps to make the best of the bit we are in and to be here, now. It's the Wet season in Malawi and everything is lush and green. We have Wet and we have dry. I prefer the climate in Southern Australia where we are from and where there is a real Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer -

    1. Thank you Roslyn..the reason for the poem was the coldness of the day. The temps were in the minuses. Besides, no matter which season, I enjoy viewing the sun

  5. Yes, there is something about winter cold that induces the feeling of loneliness...but here in the desert!!!
